Bergs Potter is a Danish brand that loves beautiful pots and plants. Since 1942, it has been creating unique terracotta pots and vases in which flowers simply bloom!
These are no ordinary pots, they are Bergs Potter. And there's not a shadow of boast in that statement, because it's hard to find a brand that has more love for their manufacture.
...that germinated in Victor Berg's head in 1942 in Copenhagen. He had inherited a small ceramics shop during the sad war times. Victor, a young accountant, decided to bring some optimism and colour to the grey everyday life of the locals and decorated the ceramic pots with colourful flowers. The original combination of fresh flowers and aged ceramics quickly won over the customers and the shop became a popular spot on the town map.

In the years that followed, more Bergs Potter pottery shops popped up and the next generation of the family grew the business with new and creative ideas. But working with plants is only seemingly a pure pleasure - getting up before dawn every day to make it to the flower exchange at 5 a.m., cold days and nights full of packing goods for customers in chilled warehouses or long journeys in search of the best terracotta was their daily routine!
None of this would have come to fruition had it not been for a real love of their work and product - the founder's children and grandchildren, as well as friends of the family, travelled all over the world to find the best pottery studios and a material that would be extremely organic yet durable.

But the most important thing in the whole process is the plant - the pots are designed so that the roots can breathe, have space and can grow freely, and the pots decorate both interiors and patios or gardens.
Curiosity
Berg's flagship product, the Copenhagen Pot, was inspired by a find in an old garden shed - the grandchildren of the company's founder found there an elegant pot that was made from the finest terracotta - the kind used by royal potters centuries ago.
After 80 years, the brand's products are still made in the intimate ceramic workshops in Tuscany and sold all over the world from Scandinavia to the UK and the United States.

What a waste it would be if such beautiful pots only stood in windows and on windowsills! Bergs Potter has made sure that they also appear in gardens, on patios and in front of magnificent mansions straight out of the Louvre. Their large pots have a timeless design and above-average durability. A work of traditional craftsmanship, each pot is hand-formed and fired at high temperatures in Tuscany, ensuring their durability and resilience even in the greatest winters. The pots are made from the highest quality clay (large pots require up to 100 kg of clay!), which is dried over a long period of time, without being rushed, and then fired and decorated. In this way, both simple Scandinavian pots and classic Tuscan designs are created.

Daisy, Romeo, Misty - these romantic-sounding names are a series of heartwarming vases from the Bergs Potter brand. The vases are created in small ceramic workshops according to the best traditional artisanal designs. The glazing of the ceramics is done by hand to achieve a deep, unique colour. These are some of those vases that even without flowers look beautiful and decorate the interior.
The brand looks for inspiration in the most unusual places - for example, the design of the Daisy vase was inspired by both graceful daisies and.... Queen Margrethe II of Denmark herself, affectionately known as 'Daisy'. It is no secret that the Queen loves creativity and strong colours, hence the series is full of beautiful, juicy colours, creative lines and decorations.
The design on the Misty vases, on the other hand, reflects the harmonious petals of flowers, paying homage to nature.

Finally, we want to share with you a quote from the great Hans Christian Andersen, who not only wrote fairy tales that inspired children all over the world, but also knew a thing or two about what brings us happiness....
Living is not enough! Sunshine, freedom and a little flower you must have!
