The Dry cutlery set was designed in 1982 and for a long time remained the only cutlery collection in the Alessi catalogue. The elegance of the set, together with an attractive finish combining two material textures, made Dry a market success and paved the way for other cutlery series from the Italian 'dream factory'. Achille Castiglioni's design was also recognised by the jury of the 13th edition of the prestigious Compasso d'Oro design competition.
