When the now world-famous Villeroy & Boch brand was just being established (i.e. almost 270 years ago), one of its distinctive and most coveted designs was the so-called French "Brindille" motif. Tableware with delicate blue branches painted in a subtle line is still very popular with brand aficionados today.
