The
City Hall wall clock presented here by
Arne Jacobsen, the internationally renowned Danish architect and interior designer, is a clock that was designed
in 1956 for the City Hall building in the Danish town of Rodovre, which was also designed by Arne Jacobsen. The appearance of the clock, which is now available in three sizes, is faithful to the designer's original drawings and is mainly characterised by
an interesting hour index in the form of dashes and circles, simple black hands, a white dial, an
aluminium case and
mineral glass. Thanks to the mechanism case and its design, the clock seems to
float in the air, which adds to its unusual lightness. The clock is equipped with a
Japanese RHYTHM mechanism and is powered by a
1.5V AA battery (battery not included).
