The Tua carafe designed by Mario Botta belongs to the Officina Alessi catalogue. The vessel's design is characterised by an architectural minimalism that uses the simplest forms to create an eye-catching, unusual object. Made of glossy, polished stainless steel and black plastic, the carafe combines the shape of a truncated cylinder and a semicircular handle. The forms complement each other perfectly to create an unusual, cool, ascetic whole. The combination of the lines of the truncated cylinder and the dash extension of the handle dynamise the design, giving it a slightly more aggressive character than the Mia carafe.
