I'm bored! This is the voice in our heads, or worse, from our child's mouth, that we try to avoid like hell. But it's also unavoidable, especially when we're cooped up indoors, the clouds are breaking outside the window and we don't quite know what to do with ourselves so as not to get bored within the four walls....
Contrary to what you might think, we're not urging you here to take accelerated lessons on drums or electric guitar. I mean, it sounds cool, but we don't know if the whole family will share our view, locked in one flat with a budding musician. We are more about board games. We like the retro and classic ones best, but with a modern twist and a designer (how could we not). Games and puzzles are also great for integrating family, roommates and maybe even neighbours.

...it's the parents who are terrified and prefer to come up with something quickly, before the children take matters into their own hands and come up with something of their own ;) We believe that the coolest toys for children are those that encourage creativity. Sometimes all it takes is one element for a child to build a whole story around it. A canvas teepee, for example, can become a tree house, a refuge from baddies, a home for teddy bears or the tent of an explorer on a dangerous expedition. And the 3D carpet, on the other hand, will be a whole world that you can creatively arrange for yourself!

Sitting at home has its advantages. You can discover many new talents within yourself - perhaps hand-baked bread, homemade pizza or self-rolled sushi will turn out to be our discovery? Or maybe we've always dreamed of making our own soap? Take a look at our magazines on how to make cool things and give it a try, at most it won't work, but the fun will be guaranteed!

Sitting at home doesn't have to be bad for your health, especially if you turn sitting into jumping, shuffling and stretching. Exercising at home, for just 30 minutes a day, will bring you real health benefits, well, and kill boredom. If you lack the motivation to exercise (we admire those who have it!), then sign up for an online group that exercises together, even though everyone is at home. Alternatively, you can date friends for webcams, where everyone will be fidgeting in their living room, but sort of together.

Of course, going to a spa is great, but it's not always possible, so look for alternatives and treat yourself to a professional spa salon in your own bathroom or on your sofa. Because why not? Take a relaxing bath with oils, massage in a nourishing cream, put on comfortable clothes and light a soothing scented candle before indulging in blissful thoughts of blue almonds.

To be bored or not to be bored? That is the question. We answer emphatically and loudly "no!". We firmly believe that reading books has a future and, despite pessimistic visions, will not fade away. We probably don't need to persuade anyone in particular to read, but we know that the key is a good book. If we don't have much in the way of ideas, let's sign up for newsletters from various cool bookshops, join a book club or follow various literary events and festivals to keep our finger on the pulse and make sure we never run out of good literature.
If we also love real photos, not the digital kind on a smartphone, let's organisea photoeveningand, while pasting them into photo albums, tell our loved ones about what's in them. It's always a good start to colourful stories.
