The choice of wall colour and accessories seems to be quite trivial. After all, a few of us are aware of the power of the colours that surround us. Meanwhile, each shade has a significant effect on our bodies. So what to choose - subdued grey or fiery red? We checked!

Serene blue

Subtle blue is reminiscent of a cloudless sky or a calm sea. And that is exactly what it is - light and relaxing. It puts us in a positive mood, calms us down and soothes our nerves. Accessories in this colour bring a crispness and a touch of coolness into the home. They will work in practically any interior, but we recommend them especially for the bedroom, as this colour has a calming effect and promotes relaxation. This is where blue bedding, such as the Hush bedding from Ferm Living, will be reliable.

Mystical purple

Sensual and saturated purple works well in the bedroom.

Purple is a mysterious colour - deep and mysterious. At the same time full of gentleness and elegance. What effect does it have on our mood? It effectively calms, soothes, develops intuition and stimulates creativity. As it has a soothing effect on the nervous system, it is also perfect for the bedroom. However, an excess of purple is inadvisable - it is better to replace purple walls with purple accessories or to paint the wall in a slightly broken purple, light pastel or greyish colour. Stixx openwork panels in this colour will also be an interesting decoration and a way to divide the interior.

Energetic red

Red stimulates creativity and creative thinking.

Red, like orange, is a very positive colour that motivates us to action. It stimulates creative thinking and even boosts self-confidence. The different shades of red have an intense effect on our senses and promote activity, so they are ideal for the places where we work, such as offices. Here too, however, the amount of this colour should not be exaggerated, as too much red can cause irritability and exhaustion. Fiery floors or walls are therefore not the best idea. Instead, small, but striking accessories are the way to go.

Calming green

Green is considered the colour of harmony and tranquillity. It inspires confidence and allows us to relax. In a green environment, it is much easier to collect our thoughts and calm down after a hard day. Its shades are therefore conducive to rooms that are used for daytime relaxation. They also work well in children's rooms, especially those with a bit of hyperactivity.

Optimistic yellow

Yellow is the colour of sunshine and joy. Most of us even feel great when surrounded by it. It gives us energy, encourages us to think, and even promotes concentration. After a busy and stressful day, it quickly relieves tension and improves our mood. Yellow accessories are perfect for any kitchen, where they will offset the cool colour of appliances and floors. Although nowadays we can find yellow in all rooms, not so long ago it was a colour reserved for kitchens.

Colour can make you feel better (or worse)

The right choice of colours is extremely important - they should harmonise with our character and the place where they are to be placed. Remember that warm colours have a stimulating effect, while cool colours help us to calm down and relax. Choose wall colours and accessories in harmony or contrast, and do not overdo either monochrome or the number of colours in an interior.
