No other Danish word has had such a successful career as "hygge"! This expression is tricky to define. In practice, living according to the "hygge" philosophy isn't difficult at all.
Safety, comfort, peace of mind – that's precisely how you can describe the state known as hygge. Contrary to popular belief, striving for it isn't complicated at all, and what's more – it brings a great deal of pleasure! Danes are masters at nurturing their well-being through their surroundings. It's no coincidence that Scandinavian design has captured hearts in every corner of the globe.
Simon Legald from Normann Copenhagen decided to go one step further and materialise the hitherto elusive hygge...

The furniture from the Hyg collection is, above all, about lines – long, soft, and harmonious, creating a pocket of space where hygge is almost palpable. For the Hyg collection, Simon Legald has crafted a sofa, armchairs, and a stool. Each piece is characterised by a full, rounded shape encased in a flowing outline. The contour simultaneously defines the comfort zone and finishes the piece, giving it character. High backrests positively contribute to the feeling of cosiness and security.

The Hyg collection opens up a world of arrangement possibilities. The desired visual effect can be achieved by playing with upholstery materials and their numerous colours; there's also a choice of leg types for the furniture.
Camira - Main Line Flax: 70% wool and 30% linen
Camira - Synergy: 95% wool and 5% polyamide
Sorensen Leather - Ultra Leather: durable natural leather with a matt finish
Sorensen Leather - Vegetal Leather: thick natural leather with an uneven surface
Oak - Oak wood: four oak wood legs will give the furniture a retro feel
Alu - Aluminium: an aluminium swivel base allows the armchair or stool to rotate

Looking after such beautiful furniture is hardly a chore! What's more, the Hyg collection doesn't demand exceptional effort or specific products for its care. The manufacturer recommends care tailored to the type of upholstery.
For Camira fabric, cleaning should be done using special detergents suitable for the care of wool and linen.
As for Sorensen natural leather upholstery – a wipe with a damp cloth will suffice; for tougher stains, a few flakes of mild soap can be added to warm water.
