Sambonet is a brand that was born more than 150 years ago in Italy and still surprises today with its elegant and sophisticated design of cutlery and kitchen accessories. The common denominator is excellent quality and attention to detail, but you will find both collections for special occasions to celebrate meals in unique style, but also for everyday use to enhance the pleasure of eating.
The tradition of the origins of the Sambonet brand practically dates back to the... the foundation of the Kingdom of Italy. Thus, from the very beginning, it has accompanied Italians on their tables and provided a beautiful setting for meals - both everyday meals with the family and those for special occasions. And, as we know all too well, there are no jokes in Italian culinary culture - only the best is accepted there!

In 1856, Giuseppe Sambonet, who was the son of a nobleman from Vercelli, became a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts and obtained a patent as a master goldsmith. He decided to use his knowledge and founded the Sambonet company. From the beginning, the key was top quality, a refined yet simplistic form and original design. This quickly proved to be a recipe for success, as by the beginning of the 20th century the company he founded was already the official supplier to many noble families, including the Duchess of Genoa or the Count of Turin.

That, in a nutshell, is the quintessence of the brand - thanks to this approach, Sambonet went from being a local, small manufactory producing for the local market, to quickly becoming an exporter of products outside the country, and not only for individual customers!
In 1932, Sambonet was the first entrepreneur in Italy to set up a production plant on an industrial scale.
In 1938, in turn, an innovative process for the production of stainless steel cutlery was developed, perfecting the silvering technique. A few years later, the factory began producing stainless steel knives and blades according to its own proprietary technology.
From the 1950s onwards, the brand expanded successively and supplied exclusive hotels with its products - it is the recipient of many awards including the Hilton Hotel Order.
But, the roots of the brand oblige! After all, Italian design is world-famous for a reason. Sambonet has been forging successful collaborations with well-known designers since the 1960s, who continue to create further products and collections right up to the present day.
It is worth remembering, however, that top-class design is only one area of interest for the brand - modern technology and continuous development in this field are just as important. The brand proudly announced in 2000 that it had introduced the revolutionary PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) method, which allows cutlery to be coated with a thin but extremely durable anti-corrosive and hypoallergenic coating, which helps to give products unique colours and shades and is also highly durable.

You might think that a brand that has been around for so many years would settle down and repeat well-known patterns, but for Sambonet that would be quite an insult!
For in addition to extremely elegant classics, which do not age and fit into any interior, the Sambonet range also includes very modern lines and fresh designs to suit contemporary interiors.
With its vitality, the brand inspires not only individual customers, but also hotel catering, caterers or celebrity chefs - after all, we eat with our eyes, so the whole setting of the food is of great importance!
In addition, if you want to know how to set the table elegantly and in accordance with art, we recommend our magazine "How to arrange cutlery and plates?".
