Where Does the Brand Name Come From?
The word “Mudita” comes from Pali, a Middle Indo-Aryan language originating from the Indian subcontinent, and it has no direct equivalent in English. “Mudita” signifies pleasure and selfless joy derived from observing the prosperity of others.
Mudita – A Business Born Out of Passion
Michał Kiciński – co-founder of CD Projekt, the Polish video game producer – at one point in his career yearned to step off the mad merry-go-round. He became interested in mindfulness practices – over time, he delved deeper into meditation, established Retreat Centres in Urle and the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and also founded Mudita – a company supporting conscious living, away from the ubiquitous, distracting stimuli.
