Long, short, coloured or natural. No matter which manicure you like, your nails should be well maintained - it never goes out of fashion. This time you don't have to ask your beautician for help - we'll show you how to take care of them yourself. It's time to take your nails into your own hands!
Everyone can try their hand at creating an elegant and long-lasting manicure at home. But before you start, you need to prepare your nails properly. The first step is to remove any nail tips, polish or conditioner left over from previous treatments. The day before, give your nails a conditioning mask to keep them smooth and moisturised. If you don't have a ready-made mask, you can prepare one yourself. All you need is a little lemon juice and the same amount of olive oil. Massage the mixture into your nails and leave it on for 5 minutes.
Take care of your nails with professional accessories
You don't need any special skills to create a beautiful manicure yourself, but it's worth getting a few useful manicure accessories. Start with a pair of scissors to shorten and shape the nail plate. You can use a clipper instead. When choosing, be guided by your own comfort.
Unsightly cuticles overlapping the edge of the nail can be removed with a cosmetic spoon and then with a handy knife or clippers. Sharp, professional tools protect your fingers from so-called burrs, which can be painful and even cause bleeding.
Now is the time to use a file. This is the file that will give your nails their final length and shape. By smoothing the tip of the file, you will avoid splitting the nail plate. Its comfortable handle and ergonomic shape make it easy to use.
All these accessories can be purchased separately or in a handy and nicely packaged set.

Now it's time to paint your nails in your favourite colour. Before applying the nail varnish, use a degreaser (which can be a simple polish remover) to increase its adhesion. A top coat, on the other hand, will give your nails a glassy shine and make your manicure last longer.
With oven gloves, you can avoid painful burns and unsightly scars.
A beautiful manicure looks best on well-groomed hands. And as we know, our hands don't have an easy life. Daily chores and long hours spent in the kitchen certainly don't do them any favours. A dishwasher can help with washing up, but how do you deal with a hot pot, a cake in the oven or a red-hot frying pan? Just remember to wear oven gloves! They are the best protection for the delicate skin on your hands against hot dishes and splashing oil. Choose from original and playful designs and hide your careful manicure in them with no regrets.
