Quick Dessert in a Jar with Strawberries and Oats
Desserts in jars are delicious, simple, and super-fast to prepare, and the best example of this is our suggested recipe for a quick strawberry dessert. Perfect for hot summer days!
Ingredients:
- 100g rolled oats
- 6 tablespoons of honey
- 50g mascarpone
- 100g natural yoghurt
- 100g strawberries
- seeds scraped from half a vanilla pod
Preparation:
- Pour the rolled oats into a dry frying pan. Stir continuously, heating until a pleasant, slightly nutty aroma fills the air. Pour 3 tablespoons of honey over the oats. Heat and stir for about 3 minutes until the honey begins to caramelise. Remove the oats from the pan. Transfer them to a plate lined with baking paper.
- Wash, dry, hull, and slice the strawberries. This is where preserving accessories come in handy, specifically hulling tongs, which will significantly speed up your dessert prep.
- Blend the mascarpone with the natural yoghurt. Add the remaining 3 tablespoons of honey and the scraped vanilla seeds, then mix thoroughly.
- Layer the dessert ingredients into your preserving jars: oats, strawberries, mascarpone and yoghurt, then repeat: oats, strawberries, mascarpone and yoghurt, and finally top with strawberries.
- This dessert in a jar will look even better if you stick a decorative label on the jars, on which you can write, for example, the name of your prepared treat.

Dessert in a Jar with Mascarpone, Cherries, and Caramelised Bananas
The delicate taste of mascarpone cheese, slightly tart cherries, and sweet caramelised bananas is one of our favourite combinations. This quick dessert in a jar is a true feast for the senses!
Ingredients for the dessert:
- 1 teaspoon of butter
- 1 teaspoon of brown sugar
- 0.5 banana
- 100ml double cream (30% fat)
- 100g mascarpone
- 0.5 teaspoon of vanilla sugar
- 1 teaspoon of icing sugar
Ingredients for the cherry sauce:
- 200g cherries
- 1.5 tablespoons of sugar
- 0.5 teaspoon of potato flour
Preparation:
- On a well-heated frying pan, sprinkle brown sugar, add butter and sliced banana. Fry for about 3 minutes.
- Whip the double cream with the mascarpone until a stiff cream forms. Towards the end of whipping, add vanilla sugar and sieved icing sugar.
- Prepare the cherry sauce. First, pit the cherries. You'll do this much faster and easier if you get a cherry pitter. Put the pitted cherries into a saucepan, add sugar, and heat over a low flame. When the fruit releases its juice, pour off a few tablespoons of the liquid and combine it with the potato flour. Pour this mixed solution back into the saucepan, stir, and bring to a boil.
- Serve the dessert in a jar mug, layering the ingredients in the following order: caramelised banana slices, cheese and cream mixture, and cherry sauce. It's worth adding that pouring the cherry sauce will be much easier if you equip yourself with a jar funnel, allowing you to fill such containers freely, without worrying about staining the sides or rims of the jar.
