Legend has it that someone once managed to count all the colours of Kusmi teas.
Kusmi Tea
is a brand that boasts a long and adventurous history. As we wrote in one of our previous Magazines, see November Tastes Like Tea, the history of Kusmi is a true tea epic!
A city with European flair but a thoroughly Russian soul turned out to be the birthplace of one of the most distinguished tea producers. It was in St. Petersburg that the Kusmi brand blossomed – now known and loved the world over. Its creator can be considered... a delivery boy who worked in a tea shop. Young Pavel Mikhailovich Kousmichoff loved his job, which didn't go unnoticed by the owner. Soon the delivery boy became his son-in-law, inheriting the shop.
Sounds like a ready-made script, doesn't it? And it only gets better!
Pavel Mikhailovich Kousmichoff – the father of the Kusmi Tea brand
The tea brand flourished, and after conquering Russia, it set its sights on the West, heading to London. There it also gained a legion of fans (hardly surprising, given the British love for tea), and in the meantime, its ownership changed hands. But luckily, it all stayed in the family – the business was taken over by Pavel's incredibly enterprising son, Viatcheslav.

To be continued...
The outbreak of the October Revolution seriously threatened the tea empire. The Kousmichoff family emigrated to Paris, where they opened a brand shop on Avenue Niel. The interwar period was a golden age for the Kusmi brand. More shops opened in New York, Hamburg, Constantinople...
Everything seemed to be going well when Viatcheslav decided to pass the family business on to his son, Constantin. Unfortunately, it quickly turned out that the young entrepreneur didn't really want to be one at all – Constantin was among those artistic souls who simply had no head for business!

Phoenix from the Ashes
After numerous problems and attempts to save the family business, Constantin made the difficult decision to sell it. It passed into the hands of the French Orebi brothers, who were delighted by the originality of the wonderfully fragrant blends. Thanks to their efforts, the struggling company once again burst onto the market. Currently, Kusmi Tea, under the same owners, is a leading brand among French teas and is triumphing worldwide.
Today, we can choose from many unique flavours, enclosed in characteristic, fabulously colourful tins. The original packaging and the names of the blends, which were given by the company's first owner, inspired by places and people dear to his heart, have been preserved in an unchanged form.
At FormAdore, we have dozens of flavours of Kusmi teas. Which one is the best? We don't know. However, we can wholeheartedly recommend four Kusmi flavours that are most popular not only among FormAdore customers but also among tea lovers worldwide.
BBDetox Tea – a blend of mate, green tea, rooibos, guarana, dandelion, and grapefruit
Prince Vladimir Tea – a blend of Earl Grey black tea with notes of citrus, spices, and vanilla
St. Petersburg Tea – a blend of black tea with caramel, red fruits, and a hint of vanilla
Anastasia Tea – a blend of black tea, bergamot, orange, and lemon
Form matters too! Kusmi teas are not only available in tins. Most flavours can also be purchased as traditional, convenient tea bags.
