The word Taika in Finnish means magic, so it is no surprise that this is the name given to the Taika porcelain collection, which like few others brings a magical, fairytale atmosphere to the kitchen and dining room. The design, designed in 2007 by Klaus Haapaniemi, tells an enchanted story, revealing to its users the elements and characters of a fairytale land. In his work, the designer drew inspiration from cartoons that are also close to Polish children (or those who were children 20 or more years ago), cartoons originating from Russia and Eastern European countries. The specific style of hand-drawn lines, evident in the animated cartoons of that period, is the basis of the Taika series illustrations and draws its users into a sentimental journey to a distant land.
