Double Old Fashioned Ultima Thule glasses from the original collection of the same name from the Iittala range. Designed by Tapio Wirkkala, the series is a heavy, elegant proposition that would be perfect for richly decorated interiors. Ultima Thule is the Latin name sometimes used to refer to Greenland - the decoration of the collection's elements refers to this fact by evoking the motif of water and ice. The extremely striking decoration is the result of methods developed over the years. The glassware is shaped in wooden moulds, thanks to which the elements of the collection differ in texture - the texture changes as the moulds are fired through the heated glass. The Double Old Fashioned glasses are designed for drinking drinks "on the rocks", including serving whisky.
