A 16 cm high vase from the Aalvar Aalto collection taking its name from its creator. The glass vessel is one of the products that made Iittala world famous, a related design was at the heart of Scandinavian design. It was a vase that was designed in 1936 and made a great impression at the World Exhibition in Paris the following year. The irregular, organic shape and the beauty of the clear, coloured glass, as well as the freedom of use advocated by Aalvar Alto, set the vessel apart from the other products on display. Today, the distinctive line taken from the edge of the vase adorns a number of glass products in the Iittala range with its unique charm.
