Imagine that your laptop, tablet or mobile phone is cylindrical in shape, like a water bottle. It wouldn't be easy or comfortable to carry in your bag, would it? Now think about how much air is between the milk, water or drinks bottles in your fridge. That's right, their shape is definitely not ergonomic. Well-known Israeli designer, artist and architect
Ron Arad came up with this assumption when he designed the
Ripples water bottle presented here. Surprisingly, its flat
rectangular shape with sides measuring 14.8 x 3 x 21 cm holds as much as
half a litre of water and is extremely handy. Available in a range of colours, the Ripples bottle is
A5 in size, which is the size of a standard tablet, so it will fit neatly
into any woman's handbag, briefcase or backpack. In addition to its surprising shape for a bottle, the designer did not forget the attractiveness of the product, giving the surface of the plastic from which it is made a structure reminiscent of a
lake surface wrinkled by waves (hence the name). The wrinkles on the surface of the vessel, however, are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also structurally important and make the bottle robust and strong. And how to drink from it? The
corner of the vessel is also its cap, and this solution not only does not spoil the harmonious lines of the design, but is also a pleasant change.
