The frying pan - next to cooking pots, the most frequently used accessory in the kitchen - is used to prepare simple dishes such as scrambled eggs or pancakes, but also complex dishes such as paella or risotto. You can use it to fry a steak, braise vegetables, make French toast...

And a well-equipped kitchen should have at least two pans: a steel pan for fast, high-temperature frying, e.g. of chops, and a cast-iron a cast iron frying pan for gently frying vegetables or poultry. It is also worth having a versatile wok in the cupboard, in which we can prepare stir-fry dishes, braise vegetables and even cook soup. If you are a fan of pancakes, you will need a special flat pan for pancakes. On the other hand grill pans are ideal for preparing steaks. Among the traditional pans with coating, the most popular are ceramic pans - which are extremely scratch-resistant.

A good frying pan is one of the most essential pieces of equipment in any kitchen. You can choose from ceramic pans, steel pans, copper pans, or cast iron pans. A fat-free pan or a pan with a detachable handle are other types of this indispensable kitchen tool. What's more, you'll need one type of pan for frying delicious pancakes and another for grilling chicken or preparing Asian dishes. We have pans galore, but which one will be the best for you? We're convinced that the following breakdown will help you make up your mind and choose the perfect product.

Which frying pan should you buy?

A frying pan is an accessory that's hard to do without in the kitchen. The wide assortment can make your head spin. A ceramic pan, copper pan, aluminum pan, steak pan, egg pan, or oven-safe pan are just a few of our suggestions. Therefore, before making a specific choice, consider what features the pan should have and what dishes you'll want to prepare in it. When buying a frying pan, it's worth paying attention to the material, the type of coating, and its intended use.

Cast iron pan, aluminum pan, copper pan… Get to know all types of frying pans!

Frying pans can be divided based on their material. What types can you find at FormAdore?

Ceramic pans

Which pan is the healthiest? One that is safe for our health and the environment, and does not release any harmful compounds during frying. Undoubtedly, a pan coated with a layer made from a combination of minerals and clay fired at very high temperatures, i.e., a ceramic coating, is one of the best pans on the market. This coating does not react with any food ingredients, and consequently – does not affect the taste and smell of prepared dishes. Pans with a ceramic coating heat up evenly and retain heat for a long time, although it's important to remember that they should not be exposed to sudden temperature changes, as this could lead to damage. It's also worth adding that a ceramic pan is a non-stick pan, which is characterized by high scratch resistance.

Cast iron pans

Heavy, durable, and robust cast iron pans do not have any additional coating. They are made exclusively from natural materials and are characterized by resistance to both scratches and all kinds of damage. A cast iron pan conducts heat perfectly, meaning it heats up evenly and maintains the desired temperature of a given dish for a long time. Furthermore, cast iron is characterized by high resistance to high temperatures, which means that these types of pans can also be used in the oven.

Copper pans

A copper pan is probably the most designer and elegant pan among all models available on the market. However, this is certainly not its only advantage. Copper conducts heat perfectly – it heats up instantly and distributes heat evenly, allowing for faster food preparation. It should be added that the best copper pans are covered on the inside with a high-quality coating, protecting food from direct contact with copper. This is because copper reacts with acidic products, which changes the taste of dishes.

Steel pans

Looking for an indestructible pan resistant to scratches, dents, or rusting? Here it is – a stainless steel pan, which is completely safe for health and slowly releases accumulated heat, so the dishes prepared in it stay warm for a long time. A steel pan is the best pan for frying meat.

Aluminum pans

Aluminum pans are light, handy, and conduct heat perfectly. When choosing this type of pan, you should pay attention to ensure it is covered with a special, scratch-resistant, and harmful-compound-free coating.
