A plate from the Tonale collection designed by David Chipperfield. Tonale is a tableware collection based on simplicity and functionality. The outside of the tableware is painted in pastel or neutral colours, but the inside is immaculately white - for displaying the food. However, there is also something for fans of the dark side of power - a plate that is black on both sides. The simple, solid shapes of the tableware elements, as well as the lack of handles, are reminiscent of the original ceramics. Neutral colours and a simple form make the Tonale collection an excellent addition to minimalist interiors, but also allow it to fit in with less ascetic interiors.
