Everyone knows that Noah built the ark. However, not everyone knows that his passion was wine and, as legend has it, he invented it. To honour this hero, who thanks to his passion for viticulture is said to have lived to 950 years of age (unlike the lovers of the popular beer of his time, who lived to 'only' 100:), designer Giulio Iacchetti decided to name a series of wine and champagne accessories presented in the Alessi brand catalogue after him. And since a bottle of wine or champagne needs to be stored, opened, tilted and closed in order to preserve the aroma of the drink for as long as possible, the collection includes products responsible for each of these tasks.
The capacious bucket presented here, designed for 5 bottles of prosecco, wine or champagne and the accompanying ice cubes, is an excellent proposal not only for lovers of meetings with friends, but also an idea for serving wines in restaurants and cafés. Made of polished steel, the container has a shape inspired by the designs of the Massoni-Mazzeri duo created for Alessi in the 1950s and 1970s, but its simple lines make it look fresh and modern.
