The Ape dell'Oro Christmas ornament from the FaberJorì collection is a sublime decoration designed by Marcello Jorì on the model of the famous Fabergé eggs. The ornament, in the form of a bee hive with "golden bees" symmetrically perched on top, is made of hand-decorated enamelled porcelain. It will be an original decoration for the Christmas tree, as well as for a festive centerpiece.
In the porcelain decorations of the FaberJorì collection, their creator Marcello Jori evokes the spirit of history, inspired by the famous jewellery eggs by Peter Carl Fabergé. Designer and jeweller at the court of the last Russian tsars, between 1885 and 1917, Fabergé created a unique series of nobly decorated eggs made of the most precious materials and bullion, commissioned by the tsars, which the rulers gave to their guests and friends. Decorations by A di Alessi recall this distant past, celebrating high-end craftsmanship and placing the accent on lavish decoration and the finest decorative details.
