Encouraged by the success of his iconic design, the Anna G. corkscrew, Alessandro Mendini decided to design a male version and created the Alessandro M. corkscrew (the coincidence of the names is not coincidental). Alessandro M. is an equally cartoonish, playful and functional object that has won no less adoration than its female predecessor, quickly gaining status as one of the icons of design and also one of the symbols of the Alessi brand. The corkscrew is extremely easy to use - all you have to do is twist Alessandro's head into the cork, which rises up after a few movements. To slide the cork out of the corkscrew, simply then turn the head in the opposite direction. As befits an Italian, Alessandro M. is dressed extremely elegantly, with three colour versions to choose from. Anna G and Alesandro M are the perfect pair, although each individually makes an equally positive impression on the guests gathered around the table and is perfect as a gift for all fans of world-class design.
