The Acquerello porcelain tableware collection, designed by Guido Venturini for the Alessi brand, is a tribute to decorations made by hand by humans. In the designer's own words, activities such as painting with a brush are also a kind of refuge from the ubiquitous computerisation and mechanisation of activities performed until recently by humans. The green circles adorning the white porcelain surface of the crockery have been painted by hand, which means that they are not perfect, and this, according to the designer, is where the depth of the crockery lies. In the irregular, uneven lines and small stumbles one can see the emotion and energy accompanying the artist. Thanks to the colour, the designer's idea and the delicate, organic shapes of the crockery, Acquerello tableware is certainly recommended to fans of simple, ecological design and to owners of bright, lively kitchens and dining rooms.
The coffee cup saucer shown here matches a coffee cup from the All Time collection, with which it will form the perfect complement to the Acquerello tableware.
