We have already had the monkey in the bath. Now it's time for a monkey in the living room, and not just any monkey, but a monkey from the collection of legendary designer Kay Bojesen. The wooden decoration, or toy if you prefer, was designed in 1951 and made from two types of wood - lighter and darker shades, teak and limewood. The long, gripping paws, the characteristic rounded shapes and the animal's cheerful presence make you want to monkey around - and indoors! The monkey shown here is the larger of the two monkey versions available in the collection, and although this toy is as tall as 60 cm, we assure you that it is not worth keeping in a cage :).

Designed years ago by the well-known Danish designer, the wooden toys aim to awaken the child in their users, evoke memories of their earliest years and encourage carefree admiration of playful forms. In keeping with Kay Bojesen's concept, all the pieces in his collection have unrealistic, slightly rounded shapes that are pleasing to the eye and pleasant to the touch. It is these shapes, together with a bit of magic pushed into the toys presented here by the legendary designer's character, that make everyone who passes by simply have to touch them. Like a child...
