Tse Bowl

The Tsé bowl combines minimalist utility design native to Denmark with an Asian decorative motif based on ribbing. The ribbed pattern takes its inspiration from the look of disposable dishes commonly used in roadside bars in Taiwan. The bowl is suitable for serving fruit, desserts in the form of ice cream, as well as snacks - nuts, crisps or olives. The foot on which the bowl sits elevates the accessory, making it easier to reach for the food, and also increases the stability of the dish.
The Tsé collection is the result of an international collaboration between the Lyngby brand and the Taiwanese art studio HAN Gallery. The joining of forces has resulted in a series that combines the Danish character of minimalism with the traditional Asian design characteristic of Far Eastern countries. During the creation process, the accessories are fired at such high temperatures that they do not need any subsequent glazing - they are simply polished by hand, acquiring an interesting, rough texture. This contrasts with the commonly used smooth porcelain. It is the contrasts in texture that are characteristic of the accessories in this series.
