Product description

Description

The Mediterraneo paper towel rack is a product designed by Emma Silvestris for Alessi that has proved a sales hit, giving rise to a whole collection of steel bowls and accessories. Made of stainless steel, the product has an extremely interesting, artistic form, referring to the motif of Mediterranean plants growing at the bottom of the sea. This organic shape, combined with the rawness of the material, looks modern and timeless. The slim stand will be a beautiful and useful decoration for a modern kitchen.

Emma Silvestris Emma Silvestris was born in 1962 in Salerno. She studied foreign literature and art history. Since 1990 she has been involved in design, working at Special Studio in Bari. She often uses antique symbols and signs, which, when presented with modern technology and materials, take on a new, contemporary meaning.
